I think the commercial is about 1.5 mos old (maybe 3 mos?) and they really seem to have taken a liking to it.. I’m kind of surprised because our little one is into Techno and the 3 year old just like high energy new wave, and I thought this ditty was a little airy. What do I know! Actually near the end they always gravitate towards the TV at the end because I guess they love all the colors and paint going down the screen.

So anyway, I got to wondering, was using this song in an Apple commercial a boost or big promotion of the artist? Who is the artist – where they already a big hit? Doesn’t look like they were very big actually ! See the Wikipedia entry.

The band is called Chairlift and they are from the University of Colorado. They form in 2005. The founders are Aaron Pfenning and Caroline Polachek. Here are the complete lyrics of that song.
