I took my older daughter to this show this morning. There was a big storm and we were waiting for more than 10 minutes downstairs for a taxi but could not get it. Finally we decided to walk, we took part of the lower Randolph, when we got there we heard lots of people calling home and mentioned that they got it there on time. We got the fourth row seat which is very nice, Elizabeth got to see them so close!
It was a nice show with lots of characters, Dora, Boots, Diego and the baby Jaguar and many many others. There are lots of dancing, music and very colorful too! Elizabeth favorite part is the Diego finding the baby Jaguar!
Since they use the real people’s face other than custom, at first she was wondering about Dora a little bit. I think it might be better to have a custom Dora head?

We went to the free Easter egg hunt at the Lake Shore Park. The even starts at 11:00am. Since we had experience before that we need to be there earlier, we were there at 10:45am. It was so cold today and we all lined up by the building and lean on the wall otherwise we will be blow away. All the kids are very excited. We showed the kids where the eggs are, Elizabeth mentioned that she was going to get all of them!
As soon as we were allowed to go in, we run into the park and I was helping Lydia to hold her basket, she was a fast picker, we end up of 10 eggs in less than 2 minutes! Elizabeth got more eggs in her little basket! A couple friends from our building came late, they just missed the egg hunt, so we gave the little girl a few eggs which made her very happy!

I like to go to the Tokyo Lunchbox to eat lunch, their sushi is so fresh, I like the sashimi salad bowl. It comes with the white rice on the bottom, the fresh sashimi and salad on the top, I also enjoy the spicy source they give to me. The price is quite reasonable, $9.99 for a large box. I also found out that they offer buy one get one free at 3:30-4:00pm, I have not get to take advantage of it, but today I will go to get some fresh salmon for Elizabeth, she really loves that.
Here is a link to their website:

We are going to have an egg hunt again next week, which has all the people from Elizabeth and Lydia’s class and some neighborhood kids. We bought some plastic colored eggs and some egg chocolate. We put some chocolate, small stickers, some quarters and candies in the colored eggs. The kids love to prepare for this event, if you have more recommendations of what to put in there, please leave a comment!

I have sent out a new magnet of Parkshore with lots of important phone numbers on it, I thought this is very helpful for people who live in the building, I am so glad to see that people have put them on their fridge while I went to visit their house:-) There was a little boy said to his mom that Elizabeth’s mom is a star! I am so happy to hear that and hope I could do some help for the neighborhood!

It’s been a tough season for spring break destinations. With parents and students are facing of a major recession, people does not take flights from North to south so often, flights from the U.S. to the Caribbean have dropped as much as 20%. Travel to the spring-break Mecca of Cancun is down 22% over last year.
We have been thinking to go out to a warmer city, but we have to think about to tight our pockets since there is only one person making money. I really do want to have a get away though, since we both have been working so hard for the last 3 months! Hope I could find some really good deal so that I could find an excuse to go out to Las Vegas!

Elizabeth is 4 now! Times flies so fast! We had the party at the Pump it Up in Chicago, it is a very cool place, we have really enjoyed it. We had more than 100 guests came for the party, around 40 kids, everyone has enjoyed so much! Kids are jumping on the huge inflatables, the jumping bed. I like the big slide and the climbing thing, this is my first time to make it to the top! Aron got up faster than me, but I am so happy that I did it! Then we had pizza and a Cinderella birthday cake! Elizabeth has been asking to have this cake for a long time! We under up do not have enough gifts to give out! I had to ask Aron to save a gift for other kids, I felt so bad that Ivy did not get a gift!
We had lots of fun!

A special Chinese tour group was in the United States in February to go bargain hunting for houses at foreclosure prices. More than 40 affluent house hunters from across China toured around Boston, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Their goal: to find investment property and housing their children could use when they go to the USA to study or work. Their budget is $300,000 to $800,000 a piece.
Since the currency exchange rate is more benefit for the Chinese house buyers, it is quite attractive for them to come here to buy houses. I heard some of them bought two places within one trip.
How can I make them to come to buy in Chicago, maybe I should try to come up with a plan and some beautiful brochures, since lots of Chinese has cash plus they want to send their kids to overseas to study, it will be a chance for me to start this business.
