Finding Nemo Game

January 19th, 2009 · No Comments · Disney, Epcot

We went to this adventure very late, this is a good thing to stay at one of the Disney’s Resort, we get 3 magic hours at the Epcot tonight, which is from 9:00pm – 12:00am. We can imagine how long the line is during the day for this adventure, although there is nobody in front of us, we have to walk through long ways to get to the start point. It was nice that we could all sit together. The kids were a little scared in the beginning as it was dark in the deep water where nemo lives, the ride was fun and the best part is at the end it went to a real aquarium which we saw big sharks and big fish, not to mention that when we came back again a week later, we saw the biggest turtle in the world which is as large as a huge display window. It was swimming underneath so we did not think it is so big, they when it came, oh, we all screamed at it size. We finally found the reason of the size of our turtle:-)

Meeting with the characters at the Epcot

January 19th, 2009 · No Comments · Disney, Epcot

This is the first time for the kids to meet with the characters, there are Micky, Minnie, Pluto, Donald Duck and Goofy. The kids were so excited to see them, I bet in their eyes, these are the real ones. They kept on telling me,”Look Mom, the Micky Mouse, oh, the Minnie Mouse”, etc. Although the wait is still like 30 minutes, they were pretty well behaved. They all are Elizabeth’s favorite, Lydia likes Donald duck and Goofy. They gave them hugs and kisses and they really do not want to leave them. I never thought we would line up to see the characters before we came here and I figured out that the kids are really like them.

Kid’s Corner at the Epcot

January 19th, 2009 · No Comments · Disney, Epcot

We were wondering around in the Epcot after the fireworks, then we found that there were 11 countries have  set up a kid’s corner, that means, they would give you a mask that you could color on one side and the other side, the people who is at the Kid’s corner would like to spell your name out in their Country’s language, although there are a few spell the same as English. We went to China first and since they were born in the Chinese year of Dog and Chicken, they each got a stamp of a dog and a chicken on their mask. Next country is Japan, from there we understood that they started to make Tin toys, they had a small display. The kids got their Japanese name on their masks. Oh, I forgot to mention that each country has a paper shape to represent their country, they offer a few colors so if you like to collect one color you could do it. I could not remember all of them, but Norway has a big boat.We bought a lot of snacks in Japan, there is one chocolate covered sticks, the kids love them so much, they have been dancing and eating them, they were really cute.

Then we went to Morroco, they speak French, they have a plastic simbal means love, the kids love it too.

Fireworks at the Epcot

January 15th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Disney, Epcot

We have arrived at the Orlando finally around 5:00pm, we got on the Disney Magic Express after half an hour wondering around in the airport. The kids are getting so excited, although we have been traveling for almost a whole day. After checking into the hotel, we finanlly got out to the Epcot. Then I found out that my ticket does not work, since I bought the tickets online and it is for Disney LA, haha, so we got new tickets.

First thing we did is to try to get something to eat since the kids were super hungry, but everywhere has big line, we finally went to a Mexico place. It is a fast food place so there were not so many choices, but at least I got some energy.

It worth the wait for the final fireworks, I have not seen anything like it in my life. It was not only fireworks, it also has a nice globe that shows lots of beautiful slides on it. Also, the fireworks is shooting on a big lake, which is really amazing.

How to Obtain a Moving Quote Online and Get Quotes from Movers

December 18th, 2008 · No Comments · moving companies, moving quote, webfrost

In the interest of making my impending relocation as painless as possible, I thought I might try to get quotes from several local moving companies online to compete for my business. Amazingly, this was so easy because right away I found InfoMoving.com, what a relief! Instead of potentially having to spend hours yacking away on the phone with all the people listed in the Yellow Page, I just typed in a few bits of details and then received several quotes within a few hours. Could not have been less painless.

Now to start packing!

I tried to do handstands for you/ But everytime I fell for you/ I’m permanently black and blue

November 24th, 2008 · No Comments · Apple, Nano, iPod

My kids (22 mos. and 3.5 years) start running around the room and jumping whenever this Apple commercial comes on TV.. I think the commercial is about 1.5 mos old (maybe 3 mos?) and they really seem to have taken a liking to it.. I’m kind of surprised because our little one is into Techno and the 3 year old just like high energy new wave, and I thought this ditty was a little airy. What do I know! Actually near the end they always gravitate towards the TV at the end because I guess they love all the colors and paint going down the screen.

So anyway, I got to wondering, was using this song in an Apple commercial a boost or big promotion of the artist? Who is the artist – where they already a big hit? Doesn’t look like they were very big actually ! See the Wikipedia entry.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chairlift_(band)

The band is called Chairlift and they are from the University of Colorado. They form in 2005. The founders are Aaron Pfenning and Caroline Polachek. Here are the complete lyrics of that song.

I tried to do handstands for you
I tried to do headstands for you
Every time I fell you on yeah every time I fell
I tried to do handstands for you
But every time I fell for you
I’m permanently black and blue, permanently blue for
you
I tried to do handstands for you
I tried to do headstands for you
Every time I fell on you yeah every time I fell
I tried to do handstands but every time I fell for you
I’m permanently black and blue, permanently blue for
You ooo …
For you ooo …
So black and blue ooo …
For you ooo etc…

I grabbed some frozen strawberries so I could ice your bruisy knees
But frozen things they all unfreeze and now I taste like
All those frozen strawberries I used to chill your bruisy knees,
Hot July ain’t good to me
I’m pink and black and blue

I got bruises on my knees for you
And grass stains on my knees for you
Got holes in my new jeans for you
Got pink and black and blue

Got bruises on my knees for you
And grass stains on my knees for you
Got holes in my new jeans for you
Got pink and black and blue for

You ooo …
For you ooo ….
So black and blue ooo …
For you ooo …

In any case, I think your best bet is to order through is at www.mappoint2009.com. you will get a 6 month “Plus” membership on MapForums including all those tools and support. See www.mapforums.com

MapPoint 2009

June 28th, 2008 · 5 Comments · mappoint 2009, webfrost

We are starting to promote and sell MapPoint 2009 on MapForums.. it is at www.mapforums.com

MapPoint 2009 is the sixth version of the product, the previous versions have been MapPoint 2000, MapPoint 2001, MapPoint 2002, MapPoint 2004, and Microsoft MapPoint 2006.

Major development and promotion occurred up until the MapPoint 2002 version. MapPoint 2004 and MapPoint 2006 introduced some nice new features and data refreshes, but otherwise had minimal API changes.

MapPoint 2009 has a complete new look and is expected to mark a shift in the trend so that we will start to see active development and promotion of the MapPoint product.

A Chilly Season for Paid Links

February 20th, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

In the world of Internet marketing many professional SEO consultants debating the idea that the rel=nofollow tag applied to certain links does not pass any link authority. Google came up with this tag years ago as a means to combat comment spam in blogs since blogs were rapidly on the rise at that time. They figured that implementing the nofollow tag would discourage comment spammers from trying to build inbound links from blogs. Well it has worked fairly well. However, organic SEO consultants are starting to use the tag on internal links to funnel the flow of link juice from the homepage to specific internal pages in order to boost the authority of the internal pages. Blocking links off the homepage to pages like About Us, Privacy Policy, and other pages that are not specifically organic landing page targets has proven to be an excellent strategy.

But now paid link sites are starting to use it, claiming that link juice is still passed through and that they need to do it or else Google will penalize them! Well if it still passed link authority then why the heck would Google approve of this? Studies are also showing that blog comment links that are nofollow are showing up in backlink reports within Google’s Webmaster tools. That makes things even more confusing. Let me know your thoughts and experiences with this.
